Elle decoration

I loved the colour combinations of this trend in this months Elle.

The koda trace saga

Sometimes the problem with my style is that it's more suited to one off illustrations simply due to the detail that goes into them. Taking this into consideration I'm pretty happy with my finished koda trace and how consistent it is throughout.

Starting the koda trace

One of the problems with coming home and trying to do work is my cat.. I think he wants a go..
Hopefully will get the rest of this done in a day! Then I'll start on my 4 colour layouts!

Some more progress

Here are some quick shots I took in my bay before Easter!
Tracing my design into graph paper ready for koda trace.

London

London was hands down one of the best weeks ever! Having never been before everything was so so so new and exciting from the riding to tube for the first time to visiting the Chelsea harbour design centre.. Everything was such an experience!
Anthroplogie was such a beautiful space!

And I fell in love with the natural history museum!
Expect some more pictures to come of various things I found inspiring!

Imagery so far

Here are just some of the illustrations I have been creating for this new project. I work mainly in 0.05 fineliner as I love the texture it gives. At this point I am mainly trying to create as much imagery as possible to work from and continue on the project with. I am so much happier with this decision and I feel it shows in my work.

New module

Our new module aim is to create a top and a skirt embellished using hand and/or machine embroidery and a length of repeat pattern furnishing fabric. We are to use the theme of florals alongside a chosen word from a list.
I originally chose the word ethereal and started to create various imagery of flowers with sculpture... But in the past recent weeks I have made a big decision to change my course for next year. I feel my style of drawing is more suited to illustration and it is more where my passion lies. Therefore I have also chosen to change my word for the project to discord as I feel much more inspired by the possibilities in terms of my illustration style and this word.
